Recently we acted for a female client in her 50s employed as a School Cleaner, living alone and having a productive hobby of arts and crafts in her spare time.
Unfortunately, at work she had an accident. Having finished her cleaning it was discovered a window had been left open and she was directed to stand on her Supervisor’s cupped hands to reach to close it. Predictably she lost her balance, fell onto the tarmac and sustained a very nasty injury to her wrist which has never properly recovered for unfortunately she developed complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) which will not improve and it has had quite a devastating affect on her employability and enjoyment of life.
Although receiving financial compensation is hardly a substitute for being in the fullness of health this victim very kindly advised us she was eternally grateful for all of the hard work and help we provided in securing her hard fought compensation award.
